Shurflo has specialized in pumps since 1968. Shurflo water pumps are available in different models depending on usage: for recreational vehicles (RVs), for marine use and for industrial purposes.

Shurflo Water Pumps For RV Use

For use in RVs, Shurflo offers different models of water pumps. These RV-compatible water pump models can be grouped into two main classes: the Classic Series and the Extreme series.

The Classic series of Shurflo water pumps for RV purposes are used worldwide and have a reputation for reliability. All models in the Classic series are self-priming, an ability provided by the three separate pumping chambers which can lift water up to 12 feet. Another feature of the Classic series of Shurflo water pumps is their thermal protection, which allows them to run dry without damage to the pump. Furthermore, these pumps do not have any back flow because of a built-in check valve, which additionally minimizes inefficient cycling. In the Classic series, the available models are: Standard Pump, Shurflo Classic Pump, Shurflo Premium Pump, 115V AC Park Model, Whisper King Pump, Revolution 4008 Pump, Nautilus Pump, and Aqua King Pump.

There are some important differences between these seemingly similar models. The Shurflo Classic Pump allows for a higher shut-off pressure than the Standard Pump. Going a step up again, the Shurflo Premium Pump gives faster flow rates than the Shurflo Classic Pump. The 115V AC Park Model is similar in specifications to the Shurflo Premium Pump, but runs on 115 Volts AC instead of 12V DC. The Whisper King and Revolution 4008 pumps are built with quiet operation in mind. The Nautilus Pump is designed for a specific, more limited job in mind: pumping for low pressure and low flow applications. It is for use with a single fixture only. The Aqua King Pump is similar to the Nautilus Pump in its low-pressure application, but is especially designed for quiet operation.

The Extreme series of Shurflo water pumps for RVs feature state-of-the-art sensor technology to provide excellent flow and pressure with quiet operation. This technology is provided by a microprocessor and circuit board. In the Extreme series of Shurflo water pumps, the two available models are Extreme Series Smart Sensor 4.0 and the Extreme Series Smart Sensor 5.7, which has a faster flow rate.

Shurflo Water Pumps For Marine Use

For marine use, Shurflo water pumps are available in several different models depending on application. For freshwater pumping, Shurflo offers three models described earlier for RV use: Aqua King Pump, Extreme Series Smart Sensor 4.0 and Extreme Series Smart Sensor 5.7. For washdown pumping, the Blaster and ProBlaster pumps can be used for scaling, fish box cleaning and anchor chain cleaning. These washdown pumps differ considerably, however. The Blaster is for freshwater pumping, while the ProBlaster is for saltwater pumping in harsh environments, is self-priming and remains undamaged if run dry.

For keeping bait, Shurflo has different livewell marine water pumps, each available in a range of different sizes for different tank capacities. The ProBaitmaster Heavy Duty Livewell Pump can be used for both livewell and washdown purposes, making it ideal when sufficient mounting space for two separate pumps is unavailable. The Bait Sentry Livewell Pump is unique in that it is magnetically driven, meaning that there are no mechanically connected parts. Therefore, this pump is able to deal with large amounts of solid debris without sustaining motor damage. The Shurflo High Flow Livewell Pump is especially designed for harsh environments, has an extremely high flow rate, is submersible and is rated for continuous duty. It also has an anti-airlock device which removes any trapped air. The Piranha Livewell Pump is also designed with a harsh environment in mind and possesses the anti-airlock feature, but offers a lesser flow rate.

To remove excess water from a seafaring vehicle, Shurflo has two different models of bilge pump: Shurflo 380-1000 GPH Bilge Pump and the much faster, submersible Shurflo 1500-2000 GPH Bilge Pump.

Shurflo Water Pumps For Industrial Use

For industrial use, Shurflo has developed the 100 Series Water Fixture Delivery Pump. This pump has a relatively small size, is rated for intermittent use, and must not be run dry. This pump must be installed below the supply tank for priming purposes.

Shurflo Water Pumps Offer A Range Of Models Suitable For Every Application

Shurflo water pumps are available in many different models for different applications. These range from land use pumps for RVs and industrial use, to marine pumps designed for harsh environments. Within each category, many models are available with different features such as quiet operation, high flow rates, submersibility, low power consumption and resistance to tough environments, and so forth. The user simply needs to consider which features of Shurflo water pumps are of most importance for the specific application needed.
